The Blue Ridge Scenic Railway in North Georgia will take you on a seasonal journey to see some of the most beautiful fall foliage in the whole country.

Founded in the late 1800s, the vintage railway once played a crucial role in the mining, tourism, and timber industries. Today, this vehicle operates as a leisure-focused train track that takes passengers on interactive strolls through North Georgia's rolling hills.

The railway offers several seasonal packages including the Fall Foliage tour, which is offered through November 7, 2022.

On this picturesque ride, you'll experience the vibrant array of colors that blanket the tree-covered Blue Ridge mountains in autumn.

The train departs from the historic depot in downtown Blue Ridge and journeys 26 miles through the Appalachian foothills along the North Georgia countryside.

As you loop through the mountainous slopes and look through the window, you can gawk at the forested terrain patterned with warm hues of red, orange, and yellow.

There's also a 2-hour layover in McCaysville, GA and Copperhill, TN. Passengers will have the chance to explore these quaint destinations and even stand in the two states simultaneously during a two-hour layover before climbing aboard to return to the depot.

Be sure to keep your eyes peeled on the train's official website because the railway has additional adventures and seasonal experiences also on the horizon, including Christmas and winter-themed trips.
